Our commitment

Gorgeous Punjab is committed to correcting factual errors promptly, clearly and transparently. Readers should be able to understand what was wrong and how the story was changed.

How to report an error

If you believe an article contains an error, contact the publication and include the article title or link, the statement you believe is incorrect, and any supporting evidence. We review correction requests fairly, regardless of who submits them.

How we review requests

Our editorial team checks the published material, source notes and available evidence. We may contact the person raising the concern, the reporter or other relevant sources before deciding whether a correction is required.

Types of changes

• Material corrections: Errors that change the meaning or understanding of a story are corrected in the article and accompanied by a visible correction note.
• Clarifications: Accurate wording that could reasonably be misunderstood may be expanded or clarified with an explanatory note when appropriate.
• Minor edits: Spelling, grammar, formatting or style changes that do not alter meaning may be corrected without a note.
• Updates: New information added after publication is identified through an updated timestamp and, when significant, an update note.

Removal requests

Published material is not normally removed simply because it is inconvenient or disputed. Removal may be considered when required by law, when publication creates a serious safety risk, or when the material cannot be corrected without remaining substantially misleading.

Transparency

We do not silently change a material fact. Significant corrections remain attached to the article so readers can see that the record was amended.
